The Yukiji Kushida Swenson Memorial Scholarship

Hi – this is Eric Swenson, Yukiji’s husband. I’m so saddened to inform you that Yukiji passed away on November 7. She had been diagnosed with cancer in mid-September and was initially thought treatable. But the tumor doubled in size in just a few weeks. It all happened so fast. Her parents, sisters and I are devastated.Services will be held in Japan, and we are planning a Celebration of Life sometime in January. In honor of her memory, we are establishing the Yukiji Kushida Swenson Memorial Scholarship at the University of Southern California to support deserving international students who wish to pursue an MBA at the IBEAR program as she did in 2008.I hope you will keep her in your thoughts this holiday season and always.
